Armada ARMADA DECLIVITY 92 Ti - 172 Alpine Touring Demo w/Marker Baron Binding and BCA Skin
$839.00 $1,399.00 40% Off
Not your grandfather's AT Ski.....This setup was skied mostly by the shop owner....and combines a burly front-side ripper of a ski with a frame-based AT binding. This setup is less for long back country hauls and more for getting up the mountain on foot and not compromising from ripping fast GS turns on the way down. The Declivity 92 Ti is designed and built for all-mountain versatility, with more of a focus on firm snow and frontside performance than we've traditionally or historically seen from Armada. Sure, they had the Invictus line, but these Declivity skis are taking frontside performance to the next level. There are some popular skis in this category, but the Declivity 92 Ti sets itself apart from the pack with a slightly more playful feel and a little more compliance for different turn shapes and styles, which is really fun when you're ripping turns on firm snow. Armada starts with a lightweight Caruba wood core then adds in their new Articulated Titanal Banding. The titanal layer of the ski has slits cut into it in the forebody with an elastic compound in between those slits. It's designed to let the ski enter a turn more easily, but as you're loading up energy in that turn, you're engaging the elastic compound, creating kinetic energy, and releasing it when you transition into the next turn. It's all packaged into a directional shape with a good amount of tip rocker for a ski in this category and some slight early taper, too. Combine the reliability and power of a 13-DIN alpine binding with the free-heel freedom of an AT binding, and you have the Marker Baron 13 EPF Ski Binding. Built on Marker's Extended Power Frame, the Baron sits on a wide chassis, giving it the ability to drive wide, big mountain boards with authority. To keep them manageable on the ascent, the Barons feature Marker's Hollow Tech frame, which is a gas-injected hollow construction that is light, powerful, and dependable whether you're spinning laps in the resort, or accessing big backcountry lines. The Backcountry Technology allows the binding to be converted from ski to walk mode with the quick flick of a switch, while a three-position climbing aid lets you adjust the heel riser between three positions to get the right angle for the slope you're climbing. The integrated anti-ice rail on the top of the toe-piece allows you to scrape ice and snow off the sole of your boot before stepping into the binding, making the Baron EPF right at home in sub-freezing high alpine terrain.

Volkl Blaze 86W
$275.00 - $549.99 $549.99 Up to 50% Off
A powerful, light, agile women's freerider that adapts to any conditions and can cut elegantly through the backcountry when needed. The Blaze 86 W is designed for quick, tight turns, although the sidecut's three different radii also master demanding terrain, speed, and long, drawn-out curves. Suspension tips and tails give the ski composure, increase flotation and protect the ski off-piste. The Blaze 86 W is a great ski touring option for backcountry ladies who are happy to accept 100g of extra weight in exchange for a much-improved skiing experience. Built around a light, high-performance, full tip-to-tail wood core, it can handle ascents and makes descending a pleasure (except if the snow is too deep). Volkl Rise Above 88
$350.00 - $449.99 $699.99 Up to 50% Off
The first choice for demanding alpinists in high-altitude terrain with equally outstanding ascent and descent performance. The Rise Above 88 with a 3D radius sidecut is the most versatile ski in our new touring range. It performs impressively on ascents and descents. A multi-layer wood core provides an impressive combination of minimal weight (1,186 g @ 170 cm), stability and smoothness. The 3D radius sidecut has a very resilient tip, which is especially useful when skiing in wind-blown snow conditions. The sidecut geometry is agile and maneuverable in narrow passages, while the full sidewall offers great stability and resilience. The combination of a narrower waist under the boot and moderate shaping in the tip and tail areas helps skiers remain in control and requires less effort, including on ski tours with a heavy backpack. The Rise Above 88 also comes with Völkl's Smart Skin Clip system, which is compatible with both Fibre Tech and Smart Glue skins. SPECIFICATIONS: - ROCKER: Tip Rocker - CORE: Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore - BASE: P-Tex 2100 - RECOMMENDED BINDING: Marker Alpinist - SKIING LEVEL: Intermediate, Advanced, Professional 3D RADIUS SIDECUT Three radii in one ski for maximum turning & speed versatility in all mountain skiing. TECHNOLOGY: SMART SKINCLIP The newly developed Smart Skinclip system allows the ski tourer to decide for himself, depending on the situation, in which direction he should pull the skin on and off. A standard snap hook at the tail end of the ski allows the skin to be attached and detached from behind. The skin can, however, also be pulled on and off quickly and easily from the front. This new flexibility is made possible by an elastic snap hook, which is also easy to grip with gloves. A subtle depression in the ski tip gives the hook lateral guidance and prevents it from unintentionally releasing the skin while walking. HYBRID MULTILAYER WOODCORE The extra-light hybrid multilayer wood core is a very complex core that is used in the Blaze. Light and very stable poplar and beech woods individually weighed and selected by weight before gluing, are used in this wood core. In the tip-to-tail construction, the wood extends to the tip of the blade and end, giving them the sophisticated combination of good stability and low weight. In the center of the core, a CNC-milled Isocore area contributes to the optimal liveliness and dynamic development. All in all, this design allows the stability of the ski to meet the high demands of a freeride ski, and this at a weight that is only slightly higher than that of a touring ski. FULL SIDEWALL / MINI CAP Full sidewall construction with mini cap overlapping to provide best durability.

The hybrid Tourlite wood core provides an impressive combination of minimal weight (1,190 g @ 170 cm) and ride stability. The 3D radius design is especially useful in the constantly changing conditions found in high alpine terrain, providing exceptional agility in narrow passages and steadiness at higher speeds, for example. At the same time, the narrower waist underfoot and moderate shaping in the tip and tail minimize effort when skiing. Volkl Blaze 86
$275.00 $549.99 50% Off
All-mountain precision in freeriding dimensions with the light weight of a touring ski. The “narrowest” Blaze (86 mm under the boot) is available in four lengths and offers an ideal combination of smooth "surfing" and lightweight. As well as featuring a 3D radius sidecut, the Blaze 86 is built with a full tip-to-tail wood core. This not only trims the weight and makes the ski more lively, it also eliminates the need for plastic panels – a small but positive environmental aspect. The 86 model also comes with elasticated, rubbery suspension elements around the edges of its tip and the tail, which act like bumpers in wind-blown, unfavorable snow conditions, making the ski more settled and delivering great flotation. The Blaze series is designed for fast, short turns. But its three different radii, especially in combination with a full hybrid multi-layer wood core, mean it is suited to every riding style and can handle even the most ambitious use. The Blaze 86 is ideal for sporty all-mountain skiers who want to go off-piste, and for classic freeriders and ski tourers who are happy to put up with an extra 100 g in exchange for significantly improved performance. The Blaze is also used as a freeride touring ski, thanks to its lightweight. That's why Völkl also offers Smart Glue skins tailored to each Blaze model. SPECIFICATIONS: - ROCKER: Tip & Tail Rocker - CORE: Multilayer Woodcore Light - BASE: P-Tex 2100 - RECOMMENDED BINDING: Marker Griffon 90, Squire 90, Kingpin, Kingpin MWerks - SKIING LEVEL: Intermediate, Advanced, Professional
