For nearly 35 years, the Village Sport Shop has been a destination for sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities to find quality, competitively priced sporting goods. It was outdoorsman, John Hibshman’s aim in 1978 to create a store that offered a huge selection of sporting goods, and to staff it with employees having hands-on knowledge of the equipment they sold. To this day the store motto is, “We are there after the sale.” And, they take it seriously. “We would like our customers to want to come back, not have to come back.”

The Village Sport Shop, now co-owned by John’s son and daughter, Chris and Carrie, continues the tradition of employing an expert, highly trained staff who are passionate about the outdoors and enjoying it to its fullest.
